Description
The aniline cleaning and care kit is suitable for open-pore leathers that have delicate protection and absorb a drop of water over time. Oiled leathers can also be cleaned with this kit.
Always perform a test in an inconspicuous area for safety.
Aniline leather is warm and natural to the touch. It differs significantly in this context from smooth pigmented leathers, where the paint layer is clearly visible. Some anilines are fine-grained and pre-impregnated, while others have larger pores and absorb water instantly.
Due to the sensitivity of open-pore leather, all products must first be tested for changes in an inconspicuous area!
Never apply the product directly to the leather; instead, rub the cleaner into a sponge or cloth, and then remove any residue with a soft cloth. To do this, always apply products in a circular motion from seam to seam to avoid staining.
Aniline Cleaner
For daily cleaning, first vacuum the leather. When cleaning the surface, apply a small amount of cleaning foam to a sponge or cloth and clean in circular motions evenly from seam to seam. Do not clean too wet or rub too hard.
Collect cleaner residue with a water-dampened cloth. Some open-pore leathers may show slight abrasion. Then allow to dry to check for unwanted color changes, which rarely occur. Always allow the leather to air dry naturally at room temperature.
For stubborn areas, it is always best to contact a specialist first. Improper cleaning attempts quickly lead to staining. Expert advice is particularly necessary for dye stains or greasy spots. We are happy to assist with any matter.
Aniline Cream
For daily use, we recommend Aniline Cream, which effectively protects against stains and keeps the leather supple. Wear marks on oily leather are compensated by Aniline Cream. Apply only to clean leather. First, test the product’s effect in an inconspicuous area! Apply a small amount of the product to a lint-free cloth and evenly apply to the leather surface from seam to seam. Allow to dry for at least 10 minutes; repeat the treatment if necessary.
New aniline leather should undergo several care treatments in frequently used areas to prevent stains and discoloration. After application, gently warm the surface with a hairdryer. This enhances the protective effect. Frequently used areas should be cleaned and cared for every three months. For less used areas, intervals of 6 to 12 months are sufficient.
